Osteoporosis Screenings, Prevention and Treatment
Loss of bone mass – often called “osteoporosis” or “brittle bones” – is a common health issue that can lead to big problems like fractures. That’s why it’s important to monitor your bone health and take steps to reduce your risk. Nancy Hanna, PA-C has more than 15 years of experience diagnosing and treating osteoporosis. She can review bone scan results, counsel on risk factors and offer treatment options. Consultations last about 30-45 minutes.
Meet the Providers
Lori Munsie, DO, FACOOG
Dr. Lori Munsie, a Kentucky Native is returning to the area from San Bernardino, California. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Pikeville College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a Family Medicine Residency at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind. She furthered her interest in women’s health by completing a Family Medicine Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Austin, TX. Dr. Munsie practiced as a family physician for several years before her passion for women’s health prompted her to return to and complete an OB/GYN residency at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, Calif. Dr. Munsie is certified by the Board of Family Medicine, a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American College of Osteopathic Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Osteopathic Association. She is board eligible by the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Inna Russell, MD, FACOG
Dr. Russell has recently joined the practice. She comes from Heywood Hospital Health Center for Women in Gardner, Mass. where she was chair of the OB/GYN department. In addition, she was a clinical instructor for OB/GYN rotation for the Family Practice residents and Nursing School students in Massachusetts. Dr. Russell obtained her medical degree from Odessa State Medical University in Ukraine and completed her residency at Drexel University College of Medicine/St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. She is certified by and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American Medical Association and the Massachusetts Medical Association.
Katie Shannon, MD
Dr. Shannon received her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 2013 and recently completed her residency training in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Dr. Shannon is passionate about empowering women through health and reproductive education and particularly providing care for adolescent and post-menopausal women.
Nancy Hanna, Physician Assistant
Nancy Hanna, a Physician Assistant, was born in Louisville, becoming a resident of Indiana more than 10 years ago. Nancy graduated from Centre College in Kentucky, with a Bachelor’s degree in biology. After receiving her certification from the University of Kentucky Physician Assistant program, she returned to Louisville to work as a PA in a family practice. Nancy now enjoys working in gynecology using her broad knowledge and wealth of experience to enrich the lives of her patients. She has over 15 years in the diagnosis and treatment of Osteoporosis.
